Laser Skin Resurfacing
L aser skin resurfacing, commonly called a laser peel, removes the outer, often damaged layer of skin for a smoother, younger look. Laser resurfacing can reduce the appearance of sun damage, wrinkles, fine lines, uneven pigmentation and superficial scarring, usually on the face. The procedure can take anywhere from a few minutes to two hours depending on the size and severity of the area being treated and whether it is combined with other procedures such as eyelid surgery for even more dramatic results.

Laser Hair Removal
Whether for hygienic or cosmetic reasons, the patient who is tired of temporary, often painful methods of removing unwanted hair may welcome laser and intense pulsed light hair removal with relief.
Lasers produce highly focused, intense beams of light that are absorbed by dark pigments in the hair follicles beneath the skin's surface and converted to heat, destroying the follicles and preventing hair growth for up to two years. Multiple treatments are required for complete hair removal -- the follicle must be "active" at the time of treatment, and not all follicles are active at the same time. Treatments are needle-free and do not require anesthesia. Most patients feel nothing more than a slight sting like the snap of a rubber band.

 The Vbeam pulsed dye laser system is designed to safely treat a multitude of vascular skin conditions. Blue Light Treatment
 Blue light therapy is effective for all types of acne, penetrating molecules within skin that cause Proprionobacterium acnes bacteria to grow. Photodynamic Therapy
Photodynamic therapy (PDT) uses light and a light-sensitive dye to treat active acne. It is also being tested for the treatment of bacterial infection and skin conditions such as psoriasis. During the procedure, a photosensitized dye or drug is applied to the problem area, which is then exposed to pulses of a narrow-wavelength beam of laser light. The dye absorbs this light and produces an active form of oxygen that aids in shrinking oil glands and temporarily reducing oil production. PDT ensures high precision by targeting only the tissue in and near the treatment area.

The CoolSculpting system utilizes a patented method called Cryolipolysis (the use of precisely controlled cooling to remove fat) that is designed to only kill fat cells. CoolSculpting Procedure
The CoolSculpting procedure involves the use of an applicator that cools the fat cells in the targeted area of your body for a simple, natural fat removal process. An applicator cup is then attached to deliver a gentle vacuum pressure that draws tissue between the cooling panels
The treated fat cells are removed though natural metabolic processes within the body, similar to the way fat from food is removed. This allows for a gradual reduction in fat from targeted areas to create a slimmer, more defined appearance. The CoolSculpting procedure usually takes two or more hours to perform, depending on the size of the area being treated.
Results of CoolSculpting
The results of the CoolSculpting procedure are usually visible two to four months after treatment, and will continue to improve for up to six months. Although these results are not as rapid as those achieved through liposuction, patients undergoing CoolSculpting can avoid the pain, risks and lengthy recovery times associated with these more invasive procedures.

Most patients who undergo CoolSculpting are highly satisfied with the results of their procedure and are able to enjoy a natural, slimmer appearance. While no long-term studies are currently available, the results of CoolSculpting are expected to last about as long as fat reduction achieved through traditional liposuction procedures.
CoolSculpting is non-surgical. No needles, incisions, pain relievers, or recovery time are needed. Risky side effects are not a problem. The procedure is performed in Dr. Guanche's office, and when it is finished the patient can resume his or her normal life without missing a beat.
